Purpose of the organization: The maintaining of the relation child/parent during the detention of one parent or both of them and the tutelage of the right of the child to the continuity of the emotional ties through a mediation activity with the “outside world” as support of the parenthood function in the child’s interest.

Confirmation of the activities of the organization at the regional, national or international level: 26-11-2009: “Friend of the Family Prize” by Premiership of the Italian Cabinet, Department of the Family Politics, as “projects of excellence” for the Italian project "Spazio Giallo" (Yellow Space) 08-09-2010: Special mention award for the video “Yellow Space”, lasting 1’, realised inside the European program Grundtvig Life Long Learning, in occasion of the 10th anniversary of Grundtvig in Italy May 2011: Patronage of the committee for the celebrations of the 150 years of the Unity of Italy, leaded by the former Prime Minister Giuliano Amato, for the publication of the book “The Prison at the children proof” containing a chapter devoted to the history of the Italian prisons from the Italian Unity till today. 21-04-2012: concert of La Scala Philarmonic Orchestra, Director Riccardo Chailly, piano Stefano Bollani at the La Scala Milan Theater, charity for Bambinisenzasbarre. 12-10-2012: Bambinisenzasbarre shared with the Lombardy Prison Superintendency the Premio Basile (Basile Award) organized by AIF (Associazione Italiana Formatori – Italian Trainers Association of the Public Administration) for the continuing education courses of prison officers, teachers and social workers in the 19 Lombard prisons. 06-11-2012: Bambinisenzasbarre’s activity in favour of children of imprisoned parents was the subject of the article “White orphans” published by ‘Famiglia Cristiana’ magazine (circulation: around 600.000 copies in Italy): the author, Luciano Scalettari , has been awarded for this article with the Journalism for social’ top prize.
