our organization contributes with the implementation and municipalization of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Brazil and is already registered at the Sustainable Development Knowledge Platform of UN-DESA at https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/partnership/?p=11832. The Sustainable Cities Programme was also mentioned as a national reference by Professor Thauan Santos during his speech at the UN High-Level Thematic Debate on Achieving SDGs, 21 April, 2016 as can be seen at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81hUA_Zgcg0 We also participated in the consultant made by the Interagency and Expert Group on Sustainable Development Goal Indicators (IAEG-SDGs) in Bangkok, the members reached general agreement on 159 Our President, Oded Grajew, also participated in the UN Global Compact Advisory Board. At the time of the creation of the Global Compact, Grajew conceived the idea for the eight MDG icons which were used by all the UN member countries. Sustainable Cities Programme held on 8 July 2015 in the context of the High Level Forum on Sustainable Development the side event "The municipalization process of Sustainable Development Goals : the role of civil society. " Rede Nossa São also Paulo also attended the United Nations Summit on Sustainable Development (from 25 to 27 September 2015), and had a seat at the round table discussion in a governmental parallel event: "From ODM to ODS: Experiences and Challenges for Brazil." |
