Affiliation with other organizations: Affiliations with other organizations: NCJFCJ partners with many organizations to address issues of justice for children, families, and victims of domestic violence, including the National American Indian Court Judges Association, Futures Without Violence, Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, National Network to End Domestic Violence, National Juvenile Court Services Association, National Juvenile Defender Center, National CASA Association and many others. In addition, NCJFCJ operates projects under grants that include partners. NCJFCJ has a research division, the National Center on Juvenile Justice.

Purpose of the organization: Operated for the following charitable and educational purposes: (a) To improve the standards, practices and effectiveness of the juvenile and family courts and other courts exercising jurisdiction over families and children; (b) To inform or otherwise assist persons and agencies, Including governmental agencies, which deal with or affect juvenile and family courts and other courts exercising jurisdiction over families and children; (c) To educate persons serving in or otherwise connected with juvenile and family courts and other courts exercising jurisdiction over families and children and other interested members of the public In developments and approved principles relating to such courts; (d) To engage in educational and research activities In furtherance of the foregoing objectives.
Activities relevant to the conference of States Parties to the convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: NCJFCJ addresses issues of learning disabilities and delinquency in its juvenile justice work.
Confirmation of the activities of the organization at the regional, national or international level: NCJFCJ has implemented local projects that assist courts in assessing its processes or a specific program; has national projects that bring together jurisdictions from across the country to "model" practices for improving justice for children and families, and belongs to the International Association of Youth and Family Judges and Magistrates
