If yes, explain in detail: |
Challenges such as poverty, hunger, education and sustainable development can be addressed when people at the bottom of the pyramid have access to income-generating opportunities, tools and institutional support for doing business, equal education, better working conditions and green technologies. When informal ventures, micro and small enterprises are empowered, they drive positive change, leading to the attainment of SDGs and is this our work is focusing on. the partnership that we do for today is mainly focused on SDGs goals. In brief, we need to expand this partnership more for us to reach more disadvantages people locally as we often work with communities on ground. |

Activities relevant to the conference of States Parties to the convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: |
Africa Community Impact organization focuses on children and youth with disabilities and their families. The organization engages the children through “play schemes;” activities that engage children with disabilities to play and exercise. The organization focuses on play because it is the major field where children with disabilities are normally abused and feel isolated. Playing ends isolation and challenges negative attitudes. Furthermore, it physically and mentally benefits the children involved. These activities are inexpensive but they exemplify how local leaders can and should develop social services. Partnering with local healthcare providers, Africa community impact organization has provided and promoted medical support and inclusive education to children with disabilities in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya and Uganda.
Africa community impact organization is an African knowledge-based agency that works through networks to advocate for the human rights of people with disabilities. ACIO also created the Network of African Women with Disabilities, which focuses on advocating for women with disabilities with governments and the U.N. NAWWD also encourages policymakers to establish inclusive laws, have an inclusion representative in the government and provide better reproductive and sexual health services to disabled women in Africa. |
