| If yes, explain in detail: | The AYC has had multiple partnerships and engagement with various UN systems including; UNFPA, UNDP, UN Volunteers, UN DESA and UN Women. AYC was a key player in the organisation and mobilisation of the recently concluded ECOSOC YF, being a regional Caucus coordinator of the MGCY. We were also the lead youth co-organiser at the Africa Regional Breakout Session. AYC works very closely with the UNECA as a member of the steering committee of the Africa Regional Mechanism for MGoS where we actively support the organisation of the Africa RSD Forum feeding into the ongoing HLPF process. |

| Purpose: | It has mandate to enhance international support for Africa's development and security through its advocacy and analytical work; assist the Secretary-General in improving coherence and coordination of the UN System support to Africa; facilitate inter-governmental deliberations on Africa at the global level, in particular relating to the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD); and establish a monitoring mechanism to review commitments made towards Africa’s development. In line with its mandate and core functions, OSAA initiates and coordinates the critical work of the United Nations on the interrelated issues of peace, security and development in Africa. |
