If yes, explain in detail: - Organized the Global Civil Society Workshop on the Rio+20 Zero Draft and Rights for Sustainability More than 70 participants from various civil society organizations and social movements attended the workshop in the conference room located at the second floor of the Church Center for the United Nations in New York City last January 24. This was held back-to-back with the UN Division for Economic and Social Affairs training session for members of the Major Groups in connection with the Jan 25-27 Informal Consultation on the Rio+20 Zero Draft. - Conducted a Greenroom Activity during the 13th Global Major Groups and Stakeholders Forum in Nairobi, Kenya In line with our participation in the 13th UNEP Global Major Groups and Stakeholder Forum, IBON successfully conducted a Greenroom activity entitled "Rights for Sustainability and Sustainable Development Governance" last February 22 from 13.45 to 15.00h in Conference Room 11, UN Compound, Nairobi, Kenya. This workshop was designed to promote a rights-based approach to sustainable development governance as a way of ensuring inter- and intra-generational equity and justice are central considerations in the reform agenda at Rio+20 and beyond. - Organized a side event during the Third Intersessional Meeting for the 2012 UNCSD Together with Both Ends, IBON organized a workshop last March 21 where government representatives and civil society leaders discussed their views on the Zero Draft of the outcome document of Rio+20, particularly with respect to Rights, Livelihoods and Ecosystems, Earth Rights and the Principle 10 of the Rio Declaration. - Conducted a roundtable discussion on Equity and Sustainability In cooperation with ITUC and the United Methodist Church, IBON conducted a roundtable disucssion on equity and sustainability held last March 23 in New York City. This discussion gathered experts from the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), UN Environment Programme (UNEP), UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), UN Development Programme (UNDP)together with representatives from civil society and governments to discuss the necessity of equity, fairness and justice in sustainable development. - Served as Rio+20 Thematic Cluster Facilitator on Human Rights and Equity IBON has been invited to serve as Rio+20 Issue Cluster Facilitator for the topic "Human Rights and Equity". These thematic clusters are voluntary associations of the Rio+20 NGO Major Group for the purpose of arriving at common policy positions and lobbying strategies. On February 24, the thematic cluster through IBON has presented their collective document containing all proposed amendments to the zero draft of the outcome document for Rio+20. - Organized a side event at 2012 UNCSD in partnership with UN Non Governmental Liaison Service (UN-NGLS) Titled as "From MDGs to SDGs: Drawing the Correct Lessons for the Post-2015 Development Agenda", this side event gathered experts from the UN System, member states and civil society to draw lessons from the implementation of the Millennium Development Goals, examine proposals for SDGs in the outcome document of Rio+20 in light of these lessons, and outline ideas for a transformative post-2015 development agenda.
