Publications: One of the most urgent problems facing us today is international terrorism. The unprecedented terrorist attack in New York on September 11, 2001 showed the global nature of international terrorism and the need for urgent action to combat it. The Academy has been playing an active role in developing these measures. The International Round Table "Information in combating terrorism" took place in September 2001, involving well-known scientists from different countries in Europe, North America and Asia. It was quickly prepared, published in several languages and transmitted to become part of the international anti-terrorist structure sourcebook "Information combating terrorism", which outlines the concept that had been developed. The experts analyzed key issues of interaction of various types of social communities, the principle of tolerance of national education, humanitarian problems of informatization, and information on the impact of socio-cultural processes in order to prevent separatism, extremism and terrorism. The analysis showed that a global strategy for sustainable development would only entail a dynamic strategy of compromise. Based on the above developments, the Academy has prepared a "Manifesto for the sustainable development of the global information community in the XXI century". This policy document briefly and clearly sets out the basic aspects of the sustainable development strategy for an information-based civilization.Given the need to introduce people to the idea of preserving humans’ peaceful coexistence on our planet, the Academy has successfully attempted to create a symbol that reflects the purpose of human existence. This project was implemented in the form of the sculpture "preserve the world for future generations". During the Conference on Disarmament at the Palace of Nations in Geneva, there was a grand opening ceremony for the sculpture "preserve the world for future generations", which was finally installed in the lobby of the Security Council of the United Nations building in Geneva.
