The IFP has been particularly engaged on the post-2015 agenda negotiation process. The IFP has been involved in the post-2015 process since 2011 through a global partnership with the international campaign Beyond 2015. This campaign is one of the key global actors engaged in the advocacy of the post-2015 agenda for the final phase of intergovernmental negotiations. Beyond 2015 has been granted a Major Group statut for this negotiation process as the campaign is directly advocating at the UN level. The IFP Secretariat has also been collaborating directly with the UN-NGLS taking part on two Civil Society Selection Committees. The Committees' main objective was to select CSOs representatives for the Interactives Hearings (taking place at the UN Headquarters in May 2015) and the UN September Summit Opening Ceremony and the six Interactive Dialogues agreed on by UN Members States. Also for the last four years, the IFP has increased its close cooperation with CSOs engaging in the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) held in the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Rome. The CFS has included an autonomous space for participation, advocacy and consultation with civil society organizations: the Civil Society Mechanism, created in response to the proposals and mobilization of global social organizations in previous years. |
