    Organizational structure: The Association of Parents and Friends of the Exceptionals of São Paulo is a non-profit social welfare institution, established for an indeterminate period as an association of non-economic purposes in Quatro de Abril, 1961. The Organization has the following Board of Directors: General Meeting, Board of Directors and Fiscal Council.
    Number and type of members: The Board of Directors has 14 members and the Fiscal Council has 3 members, for a period determined in bylaws and all of them being volunteers and from the most diverse professional branches. The Assembly is also made up of volunteers, with about 60 members.
    Affiliation with NGO networks: The APFE are united through the State and National Federations.
