Organizational structure: |
World OMEP's governing body is the World Assembly (WA), which includes the national presidents of each member country (nearly 70), each with one vote. The World OMEP Executive Committee includes the World President, elected by the WA via secret ballot; Vice Presidents elected by members of each region (Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America and Caribbean); and the World Treasurer elected by the OMEP World Assembly by secret ballot for a three-year (3-year) term and the Immediate Past President for a period of one year from his/her term in office. |

Individual membership is open to all individuals and organizations concerned with the general wellbeing, health, peacefulness, rights and optimum development of children, their families, others who care for them, and the institutions that serve them. rights of children to early childhood education and care (ECEC) and children's accessibility to high quality ECEC. Individuals join the OMEP Committee in their home country. However, if no National or Preparatory Committee exists in a given country, then individuals may seek membership directly in World OMEP. |
