    Year of registration: 1993
    Organizational structure: This is membership organisation run by six office bearers elected during the general meetings. The constitution and rules of the organization provide a governance structure which is democratic, open and transparent and free from political interference. The membership during the general meeting elects the office bearers of the executive committee of the organisation in terms of chairperson, vice chairperson, secretary, assistant secretary , treasurer and assistant treasurer who now form working committees to execute the business of the organisation Trustees are elected during the general meetingsand all land , buildings and immovable properties and all investments and securities acquired are vested in the name of the trustees to the organisation. Auditors of all funds of the organization are elected during the general meeting to prepare and audit all the funds of the organisation and present to the mmebers the audited results of all funds and records of the organisation. The constitution speciifically states that funds for the organisation shall only be used the runnig of the the office and secreterailas servoces, for research implementation and research findings dissemination and pub;ication of research findings and final project reports, In addition funds will be used to enhance capacity building and training in the engagement of the members with public and government policy makers and private sectors players and UN agencies and regional bodies dealing with various thematic areas on the implementation of the SDGs and the achievement of the key targets of the major SDGs relevant to Climate change, environmental governance , human settlements, disaster management etc.
