Mission statement:	SWGU is a national voluntary women NGO that works to enhance the spirit of solidarity and unity among women and maintain their rights and gains guided by the true principles and values. SWGU exerted efforts and loopy to achieve the Millennium Development Goals ( MDGs ) through programs that may result in reducing maternal mortality rate, where Sudanese women suffer from the risk of high mortality rate, poverty eradication, women empowerment through adult and basic education especially for girls. SWGU is endeavoring to improve situations of women and promote them, and empower them socially, economically, culturally and politically through raising awareness, mobilization, participation and capacity building by its organs present at all grassroot levels and that in coordination with concerned bodies nationally, regionally and internationally.

Organizational structure:	Secretary General - Assistant Secretary General 9(one for south Sudan)- commission of advisors - 15 specalized offices in (social affairs, economic development, peace, external affairs, political affairs, training, cultural affairs, comminication & public relation, statistics information & documentation, education & illitracy, health & enviroment, planning programming & project preparation, augmentation of resuorces organization & professional women affairs and legisilation & human rights)- diroctorate of admnistrative & financial affairs - internal auditor - legal counseellor - directorate of exective office - branches in 25 statee - sub branches at the counties & provinces - 5 specailized base societies at residential areas.
Number and type of members:	The total number of membership is exceeding five million and it is open for all sudanese women not less than 18 years old.
Affiliation with NGO networks:	SWGU is networking with 83 civil society organization working in different fields.
Funding structure:	Membership fees or dues Product sales and business services Donations and grants from domestic sources
Funding structure other:	Some national financial institutions and agencies,partners from domestic intitutions and companies.
