The combined total annual income of ACT Alliance members exceeded US$ 1.6 billion for the financial year 2008/2009, with about half of all ACT expenditures devoted to long-term development and about one-quarter to humanitarian assistance. It meets annually, has global representation, and includes permanent representatives from the World Council of Churches (WCC) and the Lutheran World Federation (LWF). The Commission of the Churches on International Affairs of the WCC has general consultative status with ECOSOC since 2000 while LWF has special status since 1952. |
