The Sierra Leone Action Network on Small arms (SLANSA) is a non-partisan, non-profit making coalition with a Rights and Responsibility Base Approach (RRBA).
It is a national coalition of religious institutions and civil society organizations and networks, cooperating and campaigning to promote and popularise human security through advocacy on micro-disarmament for small arms and light weapons (SALW) control. The secretariat is managed by the Coordinator, Finance and Administrative Officer and an Officer Assistant. The members participate in common projects on equal terms by providing Focal / contact persons in their identified areas of operation. Coordination and logistical support is provided by the secretariat. The Coordinator and selected members of the Executive undertake monitoring of projects. The membership is the highest decision making body. The Executive Board provides advise. |
