Organizational structure: |
We follow the Bylaws approved by the US Internal Revenue Service on approving our application for 501-c-3 status on January 26, 2018. This constitutes a democratic and rule based pattern of governance, based on voting and quorum rules. Our Board Members are un paid. We have an Advisory Board (volunteer) that has a voice but no vote. The members at this time are women indigenous leaders from Bolivia, Colombia, Chile and Perú. We are in a Board Member and staff search. The advisory board is invited to board meetings and are our principal source of new Board Candidates and Staf Candidates. All participants in our work and projects are volunteer. We are just now writing grant proposals to hire staff. |
Number and type of members: |
We have 3 Board members and 4 members of our Advisory Board who are candidates for Board and staff positions. While we have many supporters gained from university and native community and organizational presentations and workshops, they have no formal affiliation with us at this time. |
