Involvement in UN Partnerships: Yes
If yes, explain in detail: CPDA has previously received funding from UNIFEM on the gender and governance programme that established to seek the democratic space forwomen'spolitical participation,civic engagement and enjoyment of women's human rights. CPDA has also received funding from UNDP to conduct civic and voter education. Currently, CPDA is carrying out community activities on peace, reconciliation and healing of the Agenda four with funding from the UNDP-CSDG Facility. Our organization is further partnering with UNIFEM on the GGP phase three program to build the capacities of women on political, social and economic empowerment.
Affiliation with other organizations: CPDA is affiliated to the Global Call Against Poverty under the auspices of United Nations Millennium Campaign which seeks to lobby the governement to fulfill its policies and development plans to the people. In 2009, this year, CPDA mobilised Deputy Provincial Directors of Education, the Provincial Director of Education,students, pupils, heads of primary, seconadary and non-formal schools in western province in the stand up campaign. Our organization is affiliated to ALPI- Africa Liaison Program Initiative which seeks to build sustainable development partnerships across the globe. CPDA also works closely with the Government of Kenya, the Governement ministries and the local authorities in delivering social services and development to the people. CPDA collaborates with like minded Civil society Organizations; is a member of CAPWIP, and is dedicated to working with communities toward improving livelihoods.
Publications: The Alternative Forum Newsletter is an interactive publication produced quarterly by CPDA. The CPDA annual report is published yearly at end every end year. These publications are meant to share ideas, impact information and document CPDA's programme progress toward achieving sustainable development. These publications are shared with donors, the members of parliament, community men and women, local authorities, NGOs and all stakeholders working with CPDA.
