If yes, explain in detail: Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) • In Malawi, EGPAF works with UNAIDS in technical working groups, advocacy, and the development of training manuals and guidelines. • In the U.S., EGPAF works with UNAIDS on advocacy issues, including activities with the U.S. Congress. • EGPAF hosted a session on male involvement in PMTCT programs at the 2010 International AIDS Society conference, in which UNAIDS was a presenter United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) • In Tanzania, EGPAF receives funding from UNFPA for an operations research project to study the integration of family planning services into HIV/AIDS care and treatment services in-country. United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) • Foundation experts are technical advisors to the United Nations Inter-Agency Task Team on Children affected by AIDS, which is led by UNICEF. EGPAF is a member of the PMTCT subgroup on HIV and infant feeding. •In October 2009, EGPAF partnered with UNICEF and other organizations in the roll-out of the Mother-Baby Pack (MBP) initiative, a project aimed at providing HIV-positive mothers with lifesaving medicines to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV. The Foundation is supporting the global implementation of the Mother-Baby Pack initiative by developing mechanisms for monitoring and evaluation, and with targeted assessments of its acceptability, feasibility, and the effects on women and on health systems. World Health Organization (WHO) • WHO is funding EGPAF to pilot a new monitoring and evaluation indicator for infant feeding in Lesotho, which will be conducted from March-October 2011. •EGPAF collaborated with WHO on two satellite sessions on infant feeding and HIV at the past two International AIDS Society conferences in 2009 and 2010. •EGPAF and WHO have also collaborated on a syphilis study in Zambia and Uganda, researching new technologies for rapid testing for syphilis as part of PMTCT in antenatal care settings. World Food Program (WFP) •In 2009, EGPAF worked with WFP in Rwanda to provide nutrition services, including counseling, nutrition education, etc. to children, women, and families receiving antiretroviral therapy at several health facilities in-country. The Foundation also collaborates with WFP in Swaziland.
