Purpose of the organization: To promote individual and community participation in the design and implementation of effective strategies for the well-being and protection of children, the girl-child, youth, women, family and the community. To build the skills of individuals, the family and the community to be able to realize their political, civil and socio-economic rights for themselves and for their children
Confirmation of the activities of the organization at the regional, national or international level: 1. Established Early Childhood Education and Survival Centres In Imo State funded by Unicef. 2. Involved in construction of toys and out-door playing materials for Early Childhood Education and Survival Centres in the 10 States of Unicef Zone A 3. Involved in the training of Early Childhood Education and Survival Centres in All the 10 States of Unicef Zone A and their primary schools. 4. Advocacy to the local governments and state government in Imo State on participatory budgeting with South-East Budget Network. 5. Capacity Building and advocacy Youth Programme with support from the MTV international Network Staying alive foundation 6. One on One HIV/Aids Youth evangelism and life radio call in programme with support from the MTV international Network Staying alive foundation 7. Actively participated in developing strategic plan on Poverty reduction for Enugu State Government. 8. Carried out Democracy and Good Governance projects in Imo State. 9. Community Human rights education fund in Local Governments In Abia State, funded By Norwegian Human Rights Fund 10. Carried out Civic Education projects in Imo State funded by Transition Monitoring Group 11. Participated in the development of two manuals - Gender and Leadership and Gender and the socio-economic Rights for Unicef. 12. Established 8 Early Childhood Education Centres in Imo and Abia States funded by Unicef 13. Designed and implemented HIV/AIDS Prevention Care and Support for Ministry of Women Affairs Imo and Abia States. 14. Responsible Sexuality and Sexual Life: A reproductive health and sexual health education including HIV/AIDS for women and in-school students in Umuduru Nsu in Ehime Mbano, LGA, Ihube in Okigwe, LGA and Isuochi in Umunneochi LGA of Abia State sponsored by International Family Health 15. Training of Corp members in reproductive and sexual health to train peer educators in secondary schools on HIV/AIDS/STIs and to mobilize and work with communities in prevention care and support and VCCT. Monitoring the activities of Corp members in this regard – Sponsored by Unicef. 16. Carried out reproductive health (rights) project and established Health Clubs in four secondary schools and instituted intra and inter school debate in Imo and Abia States funded by UNICEF 17. Implemented HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support using Community Action Committee Initiative as a strategy in Enugu State with support from DFID under Enugu State Coalition on HIV/AIDS 18. Designed and implemented Women and Adolescent Reproductive Health and Sexual Health in three communities of Abia and Imo States titled Responsible Sexuality and Sex Life sponsored by IFH/FEMOPE Foundation 19. Implemented HIV/AID/STIs prevention, care and support using Community Based initiative as a strategy in 8 communities In Okigwe and Onuimo Local Governments of Imo State funded by Imo State SACA 20. Carried out Gender and Development programmes in 8 States of Unicef Zone A. 21. Monitored the Disbursement of Education Imbalance funds for Self Help Projects in Imo State with funds from (SACFE) 22. Currently involved in the Monitoring and Evaluation of Federal Government MDG- DRG funded projects including HIV/AIDS projects for 2006, 2007,2008 funded by Office of the Special Assistant to the President on MDG (OSSAP MDG) 23. Currently involved in Monitoring and Evaluation of Development projects for 2009-2012 at the Federal State and Local Government Levels funded by the UNDP 24. Currently implementing State Accountability and Voice Project (SAVI) in Emene, Enugu East II LGA – funded by UK Department For International Development (DFID) 25. Currently working with SFH on their Comprehensive Integrated Approach to HIV/AIDS Prevention and Care (CIHPAC)
