If yes, explain in detail: Participated on invitation from WHO and UNEP at the first meeting of the Global Alliance to eliminate Lead in Paints: Initial organizational meeting of contributors UNEP (International Environment House), Geneva, Switzerland on 26-28 May 2010. The overall goal of the partnership, called the Global Alliance to Eliminate Lead in Paints, is to prevent children’s exposure to lead via paints containing lead and to minimize occupational exposures to lead in paint. The broad objective is to phase out the manufacture and sale of paints containing lead and eventually to eliminate the risks from such paint. The alliance is a voluntary and collaborative relationship amongst various parties, governmental, non-governmental, public and private, in which all participants agree to work together in a systematic way to achieve the goal of the alliance – to prevent exposure to lead via paints containing lead. It is planned that each entity or individual, upon becoming a member of the global alliance, will commit to contribute resources (financial or in-kind) or expertise to the development and/or implementation of alliance activities.
