Name of the project: Sensitization in the institutions for women and children rights Donor of the project: UNDP – Assisting community together Date of the project: start/end:19.02.2000-01.05.2000 Aims of the project: Contribution to improving the institutions practices toward women and children throughout Forming network for detection, help, directing and professional help to women and children – victims of family violence and other kinds of maltreatment and violation of their human rights. Aimed group: Employees in institutions of the system, where the violations of women and children rights can easily be detected. Users: Women and children – victims of family violence and other kinds of marginalization and violation of their rights. The project results: Enhanced sensitivity of the employees into public institutions about the problems and approach to women and children – victims of gender and generation marginalization. Forming Group for detection and directing, Group for professional help, Group for help and Free of charge Legal Advisory for women and children. Partner in implementation: Ombudsman, Centre for Social Care, Bureau for employment, Health Care institutions, Primary and Secondary Schools, Solicitors offices, Primary Court, Ministry of Interior… Documentation for the project: Photo documentation, final Report to UNDP and audio materials.
Affiliation with other organizations: In previous years ACTAC's has been successfully implemented projects who were financed by: National Endowment for Democracy; Balkan Trust for Democracy; OSCE; OSI; European Cultural Foundation; Embassy of United States in Macedonia; Ministry of Culture in Macedonia; Ecumenical Women Initiative; European Commission etc. With all of our donators and collaborators we had productive cooperation and we made a sustainable relationship and built a lasting trust for potential future joint works. In addition, we made connections with NGOs networking: Community Reporting international network, ACTAC is the only certified organization in Macedonia with 5 Community Reporters; Open TV (OTV) First Media Community in South East Europe - Western Balkan, operating in 4 countries: Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro, an establishment supported by European Commission; National “Fair with the consumer” network - ACTAC is the only certified organization in Pelagonija Planning Region to issue the certificate “Fair with the consumer”, based on ISO 26000 standards, to companies that comply with the criteria for the certificate; Official local media network in Prilep.
