Occupy Earth Summit has worked with PeaceChild International, MoiblizeUS, and SustainUS to bring attention to Rio+20 and environmental issues. Our past participation with them was primarily focused on youth outreach and education.
OES also has formal ties with Occupy Eco-Cluster which is a consoritium of environmentally minded #occupy working groups and partner non-profits/NGOs. In association with these groups, OES is participating in several grassroots programs to promote environmental justice and well-being. These programs include, but are not limited to, Stop Fracking Now, Shut Down Indian Point, Reclaim Urban Farm Land, Open Source Information Sharing, and the Urban Bicycling Campaign.
OES is a strong proponent of Bolivia's "Harmony with Nature" Campaign and has worked with the NRDC to highlight the connections between economic disparity and environmental degradation. |
