Affiliation with other organizations: -Administrative Department of Science, Technology and Innovation of the Colombian government (COLCIENCIAS), which granted official recognition of LOGyCA as Technological Development Center(CDT)in 2009.The purpose of the CDTs includes the implementation of scientific and technological activities, particularly research projects, whose orientation is the domain, the generation and dissemination of specialized knowledge in relevant technologies for an industry sector or economic activity, establishing direct links with businesses, universities, research centers, government agencies and organizations pursuing similar or complementary purposes. -The MIT (Massachussets Institute of Technology) Global SCALE (Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence) Network, which is an international alliance of leading-edge research and education centers, dedicated to the development and dissemination of global innovation in supply chain and logistics. The Network currently includes: the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics (MIT-CTL) in Cambridge, Mass.; the Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC) in Zaragoza, Spain; the Malaysia Institute for Supply Chain Innovation (MISI) in Shah Alam, Malaysia and the Center for Latin-American Logistics Innovation (CLI) in Bogotá, Colombia. CLI was established in 2008 as a result of an agreement between MIT-CTL and LOGyCA, with a mission to help Latin American businesses and individuals compete in local, regional, and global markets by delivering leading-edge research, technology and educational programs in topics like sustainable supply chains, emerging market supply chains, logistics, transportation, among others. - LOGyCA has the support and knowledge of GS1 Colombia, a non-profit and private business association that normalizes, develops, establishes and promotes the use and implementation of open and global standards of identification and communication in Colombia. GS1 Colombia works for the efficiency of supply chains promoting partnerships and applying the standards and best practices. GS1 Colombia is part of GS1 Global, a network of 105 organizations that provide services to various industrial and economic sectors in over 150 countries.
