Affiliation with other organizations: Has a partnership with the ATIB - Azerbaijan Turkey Industrialists Union, headquartered in Baku, Azerbaijan, and promoting business, trade, economic development. Since the Azerbaijani diaspora is growing in U.S., and many Azerbaijani-Americans have business, trade, export-import interests globally and with Turkey and Azerbaijan, it was a natural fit for USAN and ATIB to cooperate.
Publications: We do not publish any trade, economy or finance books, journals or articles.

Social Development

Affiliation with other organizations: Partnership with the U.S. Census Bureau (part of the Department of Commerce) for the 2010 Census; Partnership with TURKSOY - intergovernmental organization of Turkic nations promoting Turkic culture, including Azerbaijani, on the international arena; Partnership with the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL) - the oldest Asian-American NGO in U.S.; Partnership with Voto Latino - a voter education network for Latino-Americans;
Publications: Periodic interviews by the members of the Board of Directors in the international media (in US, Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey), as well as periodic publications by USAN members in the U.S. newspapers. All these media activities taking part from 2007 until present day.
Purpose of the organization: • emphasizing the interests of Azerbaijani-Americans throughout the U.S.; • provide an easy to use and intuitive online mechanism for grassroots activism by the Azerbaijani-Americans; • encouraging Azerbaijani-Americans to actively engage in the U.S. politics, economy and social space on local, state and federal levels; • educate, encourage and assist with voter registration; • act as a catalyst for greater links and accord of the Azerbaijani-American Diaspora and their local, state and national organizations, societies and associations; • create the largest unified list of Azerbaijani-Americans; • facilitate electronic communication of Azerbaijani-Americans with local, state and national media, legislation and government; • promote the building-up of a bi-partisan Congressional Azerbaijani Caucus (CAC) in the U.S. Congress; • encourage friendship groups and caucuses on Azerbaijani issues in the state legislatures; • supporting the rule of law, equal human rights, cultural and language rights, greater freedom and democracy for Azerbaijani people in non-Turkic countries; • improving business, investment and overall economic climate in Azerbaijan, supporting its WTO accession and thus greater U.S. economic, trade and financial ties to Azerbaijan; • promote energy security and diversity of supply via more Caspian hydrocarbon exports, and transportation via revival of the Silk Road;
Activities relevant to the conference of States Parties to the convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: Nearly all activities of USAN take place in U.S. At the same time USAN actively cooperates with Azerbaijani diaspora and cultural organizations as well as trade promotion organizations in Azerbaijan.

A list of members of the governing body of the organization, and their countries of nationality: All members of the Board of Directors (BOD) of USAN are either U.S. citizens or citizens of Azerbaijan, or dual-citizens. Current composition of the BOD is: Dr. Adil Baguirov (dual citizen of US and Azerbaijan), Bedir Memmedli (dual), Yusif Babanly (citizen of Azerbaijan), Dr. Jayhun Mollazade (US Citizen), Dr. Umit Guneyi (US Citizen), Dr. John Vafai (US Citizen), and Yusif Aleskerov (citizen of Azerbaijan with Green Card).
