Social Development

Affiliation with other organizations: We have being trained to give educative therapy and work on family violence by Cuidarte A.C. and JUCONI A.C. We have a training on management skills given by Corporativa de Fundaciones A.C., Mariposa Azul A.C. and Fundación Expo-Guadalajara A.C. Actually we participate in the global CSO campaign of Action 2015.
Publications: We have publications, available online, to report our achievements and special activities. Till today we have three annual informs for 2010, 2011 and 2012. We as well publish newsletters, we count with 10 till today.
Purpose of the organization: Our main purpose is to help girls, boys and families that live in an underpriviledge, violent and abussive situation. We work with girls and boy at a day Center where we develop capacities in five áreas: emotional, cognitive, comunication, relationship with others and with themselves, all focusing on helping them develop their ability of making assertive decisions and becoming an agent of change at their own communities. At the same time we work with their families on building parenting skills that ensure the fulfillment on the rights of children.
Confirmation of the activities of the organization at the regional, national or international level: Our ativities, now a days, are at a regional level, but we expect to measure the impact we have to propose it as a replicable method. Our system consists in tree phases: Confidence phase: it last aproximately 6 months and consists on making a socio-economic diangosis to determined which girls and boys will participate at our Day-Center. The profile we look for is (they mus have at least 4 of these characteristics): aged between 6 and 12 years old, belonging to an underpriviledge community, orphans or abandoned children, that work in the streets or may work in the streets, that have lived violence or abuse, that have teen moms or parents with no education, that live in an overcrowded home. The second phase lasts between 2 and 3 years, it consists on bringing the girls and boys, twice a week, to our Day-Center were they develop abilities through activities like yoga, karate, mental activities, environmental activities, etc. At the same time we visit their families twice a month to work with them some activities to help also other family members to have a full human development.
