Affiliation with other organizations: The GEM partnerships includes a number of authoritative global institutions, such as the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the International Association of Seismology and Physics of the Earth's Interior (IASPEI), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR). It includes organizations or ministries representing many national governments, such as Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Colombia, Germany, Japan, Nepal, New Zealand, Singapore, Switzerland, and the United States, and a number of prominent private corporations from the financial, engineering, energy and risk consulting/modelling sectors, as well as academic institutions worldwide.
