| Purpose of the organization: |
We are an organization that champions for the rights, dignity and welfare of older persons in Kenya. At national level HelpAge Kenya spearheads the Age Demands Action Campaign (ADA), which is an international initiative implemented by over 80 countries worldwide affiliated to HelpAge International. We implement model projects on HIV Prevention, Older Citizens Monitoring and Economic Empowerment and Livelihoods for Older Persons. We collaborate with relevant stakeholders e.g. Government Ministries, Civil Society Organizations, CBOs and FBOS, corporate, the media and individuals to observe the annual UN International Day for Older Persons culminating on the 1st October. |
