Purpose of the organization: Providing services to the most vulnerable populations affected often requires intersectoral strategies, which means looking at the beneficiary’s overall needs and addressing some needs in order to better meet other needs. Zamzam departments often work together to meet the different needs of impoverished households. A mother raising orphaned children receives funds from the microfinance program to start a small business to generate income to support herself and her children while also receiving support from the orphan sponsorship department, health support and food and water supplies as needed.
Activities relevant to the conference of States Parties to the convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: Provision of emergency as well as essential everyday products and services such as food, water, education, wheelchairs, etc.
