Social Development

Affiliation with other organizations: State Of African Diaspora and African Youth Diaspora Organisation
Purpose of the organization: 1) Made In Aba (Nigeria) Masks and PPEs: We will look inwards towards the vast textile industry in Aba (South Eastern Nigeria) to secure the production of millions of face masks and other available PPEs for distribution across Africa and the African Diaspora. This initiative will reduce average cost of production, strengthen local manufacture and also enhance personal protective measures to arrest the spread of the Covid19 pandemic within Africa. 2) Cyber Future Academy: We will leverage on global digital tech trends to establish the Cyber Future Academy for the promotion of e-learning across Africa and the African Diaspora. CFA is a virtual learning platform designed to offer FREE online digital courses that will prepare Africans to leverage on the 4th Industrial Revolution to inspire a rapid digital evolution in Africa and the African Diaspora. CFA will offer courses in AI, AR and VR technologies, IoT, Robotics, Holographic Technologies, Coding Languages, Mobile App Development, Blockchain, 2D/3D Technologies, Software Development, etc. 3) Tech Hubs Community Support: We will design and equip strategic Tech Hubs for Covid19 Intervention support. These will involve creation of tech modules such as Mobile Tracking Apps (to track Covid19 updates across African communities and provide constant safety and emerging information on the pandemic situation); as well as Drone Technologies (for broadcast of information on the pandemic across African communities, facilitation of the spraying of disinfectants and timely delivery of essential equipment and special aid to affected communities). 4) Emergency Medical Corps Team: We will establish a pool of volunteer medical doctors across Africa to receive special training on Covid19 Management Techniques. These doctors will be relied on to volunteer their services within proximate communities across their locations. This will help complement government efforts already on ground, and also improve the rate and effectiveness of medical attention for Covid19 and other diseases across Africa. Following the successful conduct of the first Virtual AU Youth Consultations Series, and after deep deliberations on the subject of African youth intervention for the Covid19 pandemic in Africa; we have come up with the following detailed action plan as a guide towards actualizing the various solutions proffered during the virtual conference. 1) Made In Aba (Nigeria) Masks and PPEs: We will look inwards towards the vast textile industry in Aba (South Eastern Nigeria) to secure the production of millions of face masks and other available PPEs for distribution across Africa and the African Diaspora.
