MOSAIC's affiliation network includes strong partnerhsips with the regional, provincial and national governments, including the South African Police Services, Social Development, Justice, Health, Correctional Services, Education, and Community Safety.
In terms of current and past partnerships, Mosaic liaises with local organisations through membership on task teams, working groups, etc. Mosaic is considered a leading agency in the GBV field taking the coordinating role in new initiatives (i.e. Minimum Standards for GBV services). It is well known for its holistic model in addressing GBV and interest is shown by others to duplicate the model. Co-operation comprises joint planning sessions, campaigns, lobbying and fundraising. Resources such as training personnel and venues are shared while ad-hoc task teams are formed when needed. Key local partners include the NACOSA, Rape Crisis, Rapcan, Famsa, Nonceba, Nicro, Health Systems Trust, Tshwaranang Legal Support Centre, Masimanyane, Women’s Legal Centre, Sinani, TVEP, Ethembeni, Universityof Cape Town School of Public Health, Family Planning and Adolescent Reproductive Health Unit, University of Stellenbsoch. |
